2010 was a big year for new technology at Cherrywood Dental Care! First, Cherrywood purchased and installed a new digital panographic x-ray machine with tomograph technology. Next, Cherrywood purchased and installed the newest upgrades available for the Sirona CEREC CAD/CAM system. And finally, Cherrywood purchased and installed a new soft-tissue laser. These technologies enable Cherrywood Dental to improve the level of service it provides its patients, and Cherrywood will continue to evaluate new technologies as they become available in 2011.
On December 10, 2010, Dr. Zettler returned to the Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan for hands-on training extracting teeth. Further information about the Misch International Implant Institute can be found here: www.misch.com/institute/about_institute.aspx
From October 13 to October 16, Dr. Zettler is at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona taking a hands-on Level 4 - Mastering CEREC Anteriors workshop. This advanced training is valuable because it allows Dr. Zettler to provide more options with the most recent advances in the CEREC technology. In a ceremony held in New Orleans on July 10, Dr. Zettler was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This Fellowship required the completion of a minimum of 500 hours of F.A.G.D.-approved continuing education credits, and successful completion of the Fellowship examination.
